A LITTLE HISTORY
Pou de Beca Cultural Space Open Accommodation and Farmhouse takes over the family business created more than 40 years ago with the clear intention of making the restaurant a much more extensive project. Diversifying the activity by offering rural accommodations and creating a functional poly room, where art exhibitions, workshops and talks are held. We intend to cover the needs of both our clients and our clients, who not only respond to economic interests but also from social and moral commitments acquired with our peoples of origin to the global concerns that make us move in order to contribute to create a better society, more respectful of the environment and traditions.
REINTERPRINTING A FUTURE IDEA
The facilities were refurbished between the 2007 and 2009 years according to bioconstruction criteria and has renewable energy systems, biological water treatment plant and biomass heating system. During the 2016 and 2018 years the works of the hostel will be concluded: there are currently 5 rooms in operation (one of them adapted to people with mobile disability, 4 of them double and one with 4 places). The restaurant has capacity for 50 people and has an adjoining multidisciplinary room of 35 m2 where activities such as exhibitions, tasting of land products, concerts or performances are given for work meetings and activities related to the "Team building".
The pillars on which the project currently relies are: food sovereignty, responsible tourism and culture. From the year 2010 we are part of the network of restaurants of the Slow Food movement, eco-gastronomic organization that promotes the use of good, clean and fair products. Since the 2016 year we are part of the Valencian Association of the Economy of the Common Good, carrying out the balance of our activity according to the values promoted by this model of sustainable economy.
We intend to create an active rural center. A place to enjoy the nature, traditions and culture of our environment and from where we can demonstrate the diversity of our cuisine and our products; That people who come to us enjoy not only excellent food, but also can visit the fields of cultivation, farms where animals have lived and participate in this process to the extent they consider.
